Events
Elgin Recycling sponsors and participates in numerous events throughout our communities.  This past year we sponsored a Special Olympics event in Gilberts, IL.  We participated in the Schaumburg Labor Day parade where we handed out cards that, once redeemed online, allowed the recipient to plant a tree anywhere in the world.  We also participated in Schaumburg’s 2011 Electronics Recycling event which helped provide citizens with an outlet for their end of life electronics, holiday lights and more.  Participating in events like these, helps to spread the word about the importance of recycling for our planet’s and our children’s future.  At Elgin Recycling we make it easy to go green with 5 convenient recycling centers and a friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Custom Recycling Solutions for the Communities We Serve
At Elgin Recycling, we have been designing custom programs to meet the specific needs of our community since our opening in 1988.  We can help you organize can drives, educational seminars, electronics recycling programs and more.  One of the largest recycling programs we have developed is our Holiday Lights Recycling Program.  This program has been helping keep end of life holiday lights out of landfills since 2009.  We customize the program to meet the needs of the individual cities and villages that participate.  Our earliest can drive was organized with an elementary school near our Palatine recycling center in the 1980’s.  If you are a church, school or other community organization that would like help “going green”, contact us and we will design a program that’s right for you.
